hey all my boot light works when i press the button on my door unlocker and it turns off when the boot lid comes up, the light also turns on when u pull the bootlid release pull tag in the boot but turns off again when u let it go any ideas on how to keep the light on?

Sounds like you've got some corrosion or something on the terminal that controls the boot light upon the final resting place of the switch (contact may over extend upon unlock and form a circuit, is then broken once it goes to where it's supposed to be) if that makes sense...

Two things I can think of....the electrical connection is on the lock mechanism itself, so if you make sure that the contact plug is on properly and not loose. Also try wriggling the connector about and see if that causes the light to go off and on, could be a faulty wire/loose connection plug.....

my boot light is pretty tempremental as well.... When it is really dark and I really need the boot light, it wont work, but bright sunny days, it decides to work again.... must be some contact problem. Boot release pull tag?? where is that?? I have never seen that thing.. I only know 2 ways to open the boot.. via remote and button in glove box.
