We'd just left Mataranka at 8 am for a long drive heading towards Mt Isa when a small roo bounced onto the road. Thankfully it was reasonably minor damage and we drove 700 km further that day (of the 1200 km to Isa).

Both headlight and fog light covers smashed but the lights are undamaged. The bottom corner of the bumper ripped off and the mount point for the bumper on the splash guard ripped out.

It's been a hard road coming around Australia for the car :(

It also needs a new windscreen after a road train threw a stone near Karratha (I have a free one on insurance but will wait until we're home to replace it) and the under engine splash guard ripped when we hooked it on a car park gutter at Cable Beach.

I'll fit the splash guards and a new bumper when I get home. Here's hoping for an uneventful run down the east coast!
