I need (want) an OBDII to USB adapter for my carpc in my TE.
Does anyone know where to get one and how much?
I have had a bit of a look around and cant seem to find the correct one,

Awesome site,
(supports full reprogramming for Mitsubishi's - alters factory ecu for timing/fuel/boost/all limiters and more!)
Hmmm, wonder if i will kill my car? If not, im sure i could ruin the ECU, might have to get a spare just incase.
Is that the same as the ECU reprogramming that I see around, people charging $500 for it?
I wonder how easy it is to integrate into a front end.
Thanks for that, exactly what I was looking for.

aRiOle,
Not sure that these are compatible with our Magna's.. I think they are more targeted at the EVO lancers..
A couple of guys on the forum that are into Car PC's have tried the EvoScan cables without success.
A bit of light reading for you...

On the point of reflashing the ECU, I would guess these cables would not be capable. I am led to believe that the firmware in the ECU needs to be hacked before a custom tune can be uploaded to it.. This is why SKR is the only person that can do it, and thus the pricetag.

Yeah I'm pretty sure the reflashing doesn't work - need an Evo for that.
However the basic OBD cables with MUT support should work fine - supposedly the MUT ones won't kill your ABS like the generic (i.e. openport) ones do.

(of course, see others members experience, that's going to be the real teller!)

If it is for datalogging you can use a cheap Vag-com cable (search on ebay). Think i paid about $25 delivered for mine you then need to short pins 1-4 and it will work with a couple of different programs such as evoscan and mitsulogger.

I've got the Evoscan one and it works fine, reads quite a bit of information, but the ABS light stays on (believe it disables it too) and you'll get the engine light flashing a bit as well. I've got it routed through the dash but disconnected normally.
