I wanted to create a thread that people can go to immediately to see if there is a know issue that they have a problem with and can get a quick fix

rear window failure is a perfect example

there was also something with the bushes in the steering

Globe install

you get the point

I will try and linky each one over the next couple of weeks so it can be a quick reference guide

Feel free to add any in the mean time

What about upgrading the head lights? Apart from removing the head light assemblies, the front bar virtually needs to be fully removed too? So a second link to that would be needed?
Also, can the lower resonator mod be performed with the bumper removed? (as opposed to jack the car up, removing those inner panels, one front wheel, etc)
If you can do this, get a Mod to delete this post afterwards.

I reckon that removing the front bar just to do the lower resonator mod wouldn't be worth the time & hassle, it is much easier & quicker just to remove the plastic tray/cover under the bar. Removing this tray gives you all the access you could ever need to remove the resonator.

Minimum Battery requirements.

460 CCA. From Exide Battery Help Line.
470 CCA. From Battery World.
Suitable Optima Red Top battery Discussion (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?78840-Optima-battery-fitting)

Mitsubishi recommends HD or Extra HD Batteries for a 380. Greater than 550CCA ( they actually recommended a 560 CCA) so thats what I have, 2.5 years and no probs...

As a tip, if you can get one with a Good reserve i.e. over 90 mins, it should get you back to town in case of alternator/charging failure.

Mitsubishi actually recommend to me a 560+ over the phone, but other members insist on a 600....

The 380 ECU exposed.

To pull apart, do it the easy way, the silastic seal holding the PCB in can be defeated by prising with a flat blade screwdriver pressed on the OBD connector and the alloy casing.

It uses a 4 megabit flash chip, part number Am29F400bb-70SE.

380 Boot lid trim

The above is incorrect. Part requirements as follows -

1 x MN177073HA (Trim)
11 x MN189333 (Clips)

If you haven't already got the handle in the boot you will need this also. I did being a VRX :) ..... Approx $147 all up.

http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/images/icons/icon1.gif Informative 380 site.

Hey guys,

Just found this site, hopefully it hasn't been posted before. It's got a shedload of information on the 380 - more than I've seen anywhere before.

http://www.autoweb.com.au/cms/A_1052...wsarticle.html (http://www.autoweb.com.au/cms/A_105236/title_Mitsubishis-AllNew-Sporty-380-Sedan-Launched/newsarticle.html)

If there's someone who has the know how, can we save that site to someones computer in case it goes down? I'm happy to save it to my PC if someone wants to show me how.

In short nearly all Mits running alloys use the same washer style nut. Later models like lancer and 380 use a domed cap where older models use a square cap. You would be surprised at the amount of sets I have sold

Wiper blades.

Remember when you buy wiper blade refills, driver's side takes the wider blade (8.5mm), passenger side a narrow refill (6.5mm). Why on earth they did this we will never know.

I found this out the hard way.

And the driver's side refill needs to be 24 inchs. 22 inch is a common length but too short.

Only an issue if you're running stock wiper arms of course... I think it's recommended that the wiper arms get replaced every 5 years or something, so you should be on a new set by now... or buy Aerotwins or something similar instead :)

cant find the right thread as i type this, but was cruising the forums over the weekend re phone compatibility with the OEM Parrot BT in the 380's..

anyway, this week i replaced my aging old nokia and i am happy to report my new Nokia Lumia 920 Windows 8 Phone pairs no worries with the Parrot V3.2 in my 2007 vrx 380.

If there's a BT - Phone compatibility thread, i guess this needs to go there :D
