hey fellas i need help to fing the oil filter on my dads 1998 camry vienta ive looked every were i seen somthing that resembles it but that has like a rubber base to it need help fast

If its a 5S-FE it'll be right beside the exhaust manifold, you can't miss it.
If it isn't a 5S then I have no idea.

cheer for ya help mate, i cant believe i missed that, weird spot for it tho, the heat shield on the manifold completely hides it, cheers i was starting to think it was a internal filter

Whenever I try that it pisses oil all over me and ultimately fails hard, I just bought a filter wrench, saves all the bullshit hassle.

i drill a small hole at the bottom of the filter , wait until the oil drained out ,then screw drive through the side and bing go shes off

use ya hands! lol if not use the oil filter clamp that attaches to a 3/8 socket

u can also get a rag OR better a BELT (lether one that you dotn want) and put it around ti so that you have a handle kinda thing in the side, you'll be suprised how well it works. Anyway if thats the 2.2 4cyc same as my brothers celica, can i recommend that you get GENUINE oil filter for the replacement! its well worthit, you can get taht from Autoexcel on edensor road OR from MEKONG in canley vale... canley vale road... Its around $14 and i heard they have a VALVE in them so that even if the Oil filter gets blocked the valve wil stil allow oil flow.
