hi the photo above is my fusebox diag connector and a extra connector (the one im asking about)

now the story goes i bought a led light (under 200ma) and tried to read my codes but no luck with the pin 12 or 1 i forget.and the other pin grounded. tcu wouldnt read out either threw pin 6.

but when i but the led in the extra connector it came up with three in a row all the time, just wonderin if the tech minded second gen owners out there would know the use of this readout, plug?

another wierd thing about my car is evoscan and pocketlogger work fine but a led tester wont work:wtf:

i have the same plug, u said u got evoscan and pocket logger working is that on that plug or is there another one.
being that the plug in the picture is OBDI and that OBDI was a massive flop what information can you get off it ?
can u get realtime speed? RPM ?
any info would be helpful.

This isn't "OBD1" as such.. it's second mitsubishi spec magic.. also used on several other cars, some galants etc.. similar families.

You can find information about my project on this here:
http://www.geekmyride.org/wiki/index.php/Trent%27s_Magna

also see youtube videos:

And also some tech details here:
http://mmcdlogger.sf.net/

b00F_93 - you can get RPM, but not speed.. speed is done through the TCU (transmission control unit) which is not presented here

evoscan -should- work with this.. but I was unsuccessful in getting it working.. also i have had MMCD on a palm working (From the above URL)

Also having bombarded you with all of the above.. I have absolutely no idea how to measure it with a test light. sorry!

EvoScan do sell a cable for this car... "EvoScan OBDI / ALDL 12pin Mitsubishi DataLogger Cable
(1989-1994/95)"

http://www.limitless.co.nz/cables/

I haven't tried one so can't vouch for it but it looks right.

i use the obd1 plug in the picture for pocketlogger and evoscan. on this link is basicly what you can see on both evo and pocketlogger http://www.pocketlogger.com/?pid=params&type=dsm .

hi if you can count the number of light flashes it will tell you what code that is registered to the ecu the light flashes will repeat them selves like
if you get 7 flashes with a pours then say 2 more then it will repeat so you end up with a code 72 so then you just need to look up the code to see
what it is
hope this helps
