Hi guys, anyone know the approx price for 6 x Iridium IX spark plugs?

does $16.50 sound right per plug? got this quote from a shop

but isnt it if you use normal plugs (forht the front) and may be change them regularly i.e. say 6 month service intervals , its a better option ????

I don't know, I have to check my rear bank to see how they are at the moment, but the Iridiums last a long time, it's like a set will last 100k or something. but of-course the cheaper option is standard plugs and change regularily. Which I could do along with Oil and filter change.

Which Iridiums though? There's two types. The newer ones supposedly provide better spark but last half as long as they have a larger gap or smaller ends. The older ones provide the same level of spark as the Platinum ones.

The Iridium IX is the newer one, which have the smaller tips i believe. 4mm as compared to 6mm.

I don't know , probably stick with the cheap option for now, just change it more often.
