I know TimmyC has a current thread on a very similar topic but mine is slightly different...trust me

Ok so I to recently got an iphone and am being very annoyed by the mobile interference that comes through the stereo, you know the sound we've all heard when you wave your phone near any speaker.

My old phone (Nokia) never used to interfere with the stereo unless i was receiving a call or text but the iphone does it all the time.

My head unit is compatable with ipod but when i plug my iphone in it says not compatable with 'iphone' and wants you to put the phone in airplane mode.

So what i want to know is..

Can i get a HU that IS compatable with iphone and will not sound the interference, not only when the phone is plugged in but at all times?

I'm guessing the difference between any ipod/iphone speakers is the 'iphone' compatable ones get past this interference.

Im pretty sure theres a way around aeroplane mode, i think you just plug it in and leave it and it sorts its self out. We have some panasonic home theatres at work with ipod docks, and they do the same thing when you plug in an iphone, all we do is just ignore the message and it works fine.

As for the interference, perhaps get a longer ipod cable if possible, or place it in a different spot.

Come to think of it, the last phone i owned that gave interference through a car stereo, was an ericsson A1018 lol

I pritty sure that the reason the Iphone does that is because it does not detect a Mic with the car kit, all other functionality should be ok, just people may not be able to ehar u on a call when it is plugged in.
Also the beeping u get from the iphone constantly i think is because the rely heavely on data and so they are always connecting them selves to the mobile network!

Hope this helps
