Hi all,

I am an owner of a 2nd hand TE Magna Executive sedan 1996 model.

Firstly, I have been reading that there is a key that has a remote to open the boot and the fuel hatch. I did not get this, only 2 keys with no buttons, and 1 keyring button for the central locking. Is it possible to get this key with the buttons aftermarket or would it be too expensive/not worth it? I am guessing I would have to go to Mitsubishi to get them.

Also, I am finding an annoyance with the boot arms, they seem to take up a quarter of my boot space! Is there anyway you can get these boot arms 'modified' so I can claim back my boot space, and if so does anyone know anywhere in South Sydney I can get it done?

Hi, You have an Executive model the boot and fuel cap are not electrical your controls are on the floor infront of the drivers seat they use cables to release the boot and fuel lid.

Thanks for clearing that up, thats why I dont have the key then! ANy ideas about the boot?

If you don't have the lever for the boot by the drivers seat there may be a button in the glove box.

The boot opens with the lever near the seat and the key also works, I just meant if anyone knew about a boot 'modification' to regain some space taken up by the boot lid support arms on each side.

I have a LPG tank in my TE boot and on the week end i put 4 magna mags in there as well and still some room ! how can you say your loosing up to 1/4 of boot space from the boot lid arms?

I have not seen any mods done to the boot arms. Maybe someone has???

ive got a ke diamante (verada) and have the remote withboot, lock and unlock on. can you get a key that has the switchs on it??
