OK, one bit of news about 380's, got told today by a good exhaust shop that the berklee units are shite, he has seen a few that are shitting themselves that were fitted in 05/06.

I reckon these girlie exhausts are sookey.
I am thinking of some decent Thrush side exit exhausts, so that it doesn't muck with m y tow bar.
Used to see them on the V8's years back, would look great on a 380 I reckon, go hard too...:)

we would call that exhaust system Lake pipes in NZ. Putting that on a 380 is an automatic banning offence as far as Im concerned.:wtf:

yer today has been fair dead
Im new to this forum,
seems as though there isnt much of a following for this car,
I bought it as a daily, but ofcourse been toying with the ideas of modding the thing..
already put a carputer in it etc..
but performance im not too sure about.

kon,
You're right, not much of a following.
Maybe because, in my opinion, the 380 is just about the most underrated Australian built car ever made.
Very few people know or care to find out just how good it is.
And there are heaps of cheap & simple mods you can do to significantly increase power, torque & performance.
I've done most of these simple mods, to nothing but the exhaust & intake, and I'm putting out 183kw at the wheels, or about 210 to 215 kw at the flywheel.

You are right on the money there.
Too bad for Mitsubishi, tough luck for those who believe all they read about the 380, good for us buyers.
They usually get a fright when you pull out way in front though....:)

I totally agree kj380. Since fitting the 90mm intake and changing the muffler I find the throttle response and overall performance of the car is greatly improved. I have no figures to backup my claim and can only go by 'feel'. And yes, the 380 is a very underrated car and a joy to drive.

I'm in Broken Hill right now :)
P.S. I have changed my mind about the Lukey. It seems to have settled down nicely, and is nowhere near as noisy and droney as it was when I first put it on.
