Hi everyone.
I'd just like to let you know of an experience I had today.
At about 2.30 pm I started my TS Wagon and noticed it missing badly with a strong fuel smell.
It was leaking fuel from the No 6 injector. I got home, ripped the injector out, and off to Repco I went.
I wanted a seal kit for the injectors but I was told they don't sell them anymore. I could buy a pack of each seal with 25 seals in each pack. There are 3 seals per injector, but they were out of stock.
Going genuine would probably have been the best idea, but I was desperate and by this time it was 4pm and I need the car for work.
I had to drive to another Repco store, about 40 mins in traffic, to buy 6 new injectors because it was the only way I could get new seals. $154 for the injectors and $440 deposit until I return the old ones:upyours:
If you ever get the chance to stock up on things, even If you think you wont need them, do it. It might save you some $ in the end. If you don't need them anymore, you can sell them on ebay. Be prepared!
Anyway, injectors are in and the problem is solved.
They also charged me $106 for a distributor cap which I could have got elsewhere for $70.
In the trade, Repco stands for Rip Every Poor ****** Off, But lets not go there. They are handy for some things.
Cheers,
Wazza.
