Hi again folks, my TE Altera is coming up for the second timing belt change and thought as there is a bit of noise coming from the front alternator bearing I might get a good one ready to just change over, my query is, are the 2000 Magna alternators the same as one is advertised second hand in a local net site.

doesn't really answer your question, but alternator/starter motor specialists usually do a core exchange for $100 and you get a refurbed unit.
