im planning on retrimming the a b & c pillars with suede, was just wondering what glue to use, i used some spray adhesive for my door cards, but im looking for something with a bit more bond.
is there anything specific to use
or if anyone can tell me what they have used
would be great
thanks

Selleys Quick Grip
Bostik Industrial Strength Contact adhesive. both available at your local bunnings store. both work well.
make very sure that the pillar isnt completely smooth so that the glue has something to anchor into...

do ya have to kinda rough it up a bit, what would you suggest?
Sandpaper.
Woob said to use Bostik Anchor Weld #2702, that holds in high heat a lot better than #2701. Might be a tad hard to find though.

i also wanna do the roof lining too,
does anyone know if it would be ok to put suede or whatever material straight over whats already there
i had the roof like half out when i was looking at it and it seems like if i take the material off ill be left with heaps of crap foam and cardboard

oh also it seemed really flimsy, i read its easy to get it out by bending it

Take the roof lining out the rear door, pull it down and bend it and it will come out the back door. I use the drivers side door as then you dont have to contend with the steering wheel etc just lay the back of the seat down.
When you get it out it will pop back into shape.
I ripped the material off and used a vacuum and a wire brush to get the glue off, only took 10 minutes or so and then you can go about gluing whatever you want in its place.

i had a quick look but when i tried pulling down on it, i feel like its gonna break hahain a third gen sedan, three clips along the back window, then the grab handles, sun visors and centre light secure it in place.
Or so I found when I 'sueded' my roof liner and pillars.

pulled the roof out today, all my mates watched me ( laughing saying it wont work) and helped me bend it out, then once out, POP and back to normal
and the selleys quik grip works awesome
