Hey guys, Dont know if this is possible or not but i want to wire up a set of undercar LED's to come on whe the enterer lights come on, e.g. when i unlock the car...

Has anybody tried this or does anybody have an idea how to do this?

need relays

***EDIT***
sorry that was probably vague...

need to wire relays to the interior light (easiest access would probably be near the fuses) so that that when the interior lights turn on it activates the solenoid on the relay to turn the neons on.. you wouldn't simply splice it into the interior light wiring

yep ive done it. but it flashes to the hazards when the car is unlocked/locked
was many years ago hard to remember, but
need to tap off the BEM or remote central locking loom, so get a testing probe, and sit upsidedown with your head in the foot well, lock and unlock the car with the remote and use the probe to test for every wire on the plug going into the reciever find which one flashes. then tap that wire and wire up a replay, then from memory add another normally closed relay as a cut off switch when the ignition is on, to stop them flashing when you use your blinkers

it was just spliced into the interiour light, need a relay too for best results. i also got one in my boot replacing the boot light

Quick Q about this. I fail miserably when it comes to auto electronics. What would a relay do to make it work better? Is it that the power for the extra lights would come directly from the battery, rather than sharing the power with the existing lights?

Cheers

yes pretty much, i tired tapping off the light first, but it was too dull, so a relay fixed that
