been pissing me off for ages now and I really got no idea what to do

drivers side power window goes up about 1/3rd then sort of gets stuck, i gotta physically move the glass to the left so it can slide up smoothly. Ive ran tons of grease along the rails and still nothing, and its only in the top bit of the window where theres no adjusters

would this be a regulator problem? cause all other windows go up and down fine just wondering if there is a solution...

have you watched it with the door trim off to see if its catching anywhere?
something may be loose causing the glass to become unbalanced when going up
i remember in my old car the window came out of the slot thats connected to the arm, made the window get stuck about 1/3rd of the way up,
had to leave it down as i was scared of smashing the glass lol

Did you put both screws through the holes in the glass when you put it all in? (and done them up tight)

EDIT: I lost one screw and not I can move the glass if I push on it, yours might be something similar, or it getting caught on a bit of foam or something.

Out of curiosity.

Do 2nd Gen's run power window relays or just switches?

Just switches, they are pretty meaty inside though.

Relay inside the fusebox in the engine compartment...

I had the same issue in my car and it turned out the plug for the power mirrors was getting caught, make sure all cabling is tied/taped back against the door and not hanging loose.

Sure you've probably already checked that, but took me ages to work it out as I couldn't physically see the wire that was getting caught until i shone a torch down the door.

Whats the bailey channel in the window channel like? Maybe it needs replacing if all the felt has worn off and is catching??

K not that its that much of a big deal, loosened the screws that hold the window on, found out the left side could come down probably a millimeter? half a mil?, result = perfect, window goes up perfect now, was on the slightest of angles which forced itself to dig into the channel on the side

problemo solved...
