Hey guys, I did a search but couldnt find relevant info.
Im currently replacing my front shocks and when i pulled the old bushes out of the original shock they were stuffed, they basically fell to dust in my hand. So i thought i would go buy some more but can't find them anywhere! Repco said they couldn't get it in and I would have to contact Mitsubishi. So i called Mits and explained to them the rubber im after, and they said they were $65 each! That seems ridiculous for a rubber that i would of though would be universal across most Macpherson strut designs.

The rubber bush im talking about is the donut shaped one that sits around the strut at the top of it, anyone know what im talking about? Am I using the wrong terms to describe it? Where can i find these? Anyone got a part number?

Sorry for all the questions.

Pretty sure you can get them in Nolathane, however it might only be in kit form. Well, the price may be worth it considering the age of the other rubber components and that nolathane gives a more defined driving experience...

My old ones were shagged and need replacing, i've been told various prices and names of them. Does anyone know a part number/name/price/location of these?

Thanks.

Buy the kits, they come with shaft covers as well to help protect the seals on the strut itself.
Well worth the investment.

yeah cant remember exact model, but i got them as they are a denser foam than the stock ones. i didnt want to remove spring from shock to fit them, so just cut them down one side and then slipped them over used a zip tie to keep it secure. been on 6 months plus and still mint.

go back to repco and tell them you want a set of strut mates for monroe shocks for a magna, the idiot you spoke to has no idea. i got them for about $25 a piece less than 6 months ago from repco, but you will probably pay closer to $40. cheers luke

Yeah I have the same ones, they haven't died yet so I'm pretty confident in their ability to stop bumps.

Yeah, digging up an old thread.

I was just wondering, the strut mate kit from Repco, are they universal for all struts? Or will this kit only work with Monroe shocks?

So, if I had KYB shocks, will this strut mate kit be compatible with my KYB's?

Yeah mate, they'll fit, I put the same ones on my KYB's the other day. They are a tight fit, you'll have to use some pressure to get them on the shaft.
