Looking to get a RPW Short Shifter and they are asking whether i have a 8mm or 10mm side lever pin on the shifter and i have no idea.

Does anyone know what size the side lever pin on the Ralliart is ?

Not sure. But I'll give you some advice. Give the short shifter a miss - worst thing I ever did to my Ralliart. I ended up changing it back.

i have a short shifter and i think they're great. Back to the subject 3lt manuals have the 10mm and 3.5lt have the 8mm.
So yours would be a 8mm in the ralliart
hope that help

spot on

However on my 3.5ltr there is a rubber that comes out and will accommodate 10mm

Also Phillcom Rally will have a short shift kit available soon

problem that might happening in the future removing that rubber, is that the plastic will wear a possible crack. i have seem a few of them do it in the past.

how strange, this guy actually owns your old ralliart..

i personally dont like them either

to hard on gearboxes i reckon..

yeah they make the change fast.. but think of it this way.. its like your grabbing the gearstick and ripping it through the gears as hard & fast as you can EVERY time... most ppl wouldnt do this every time they drive the car.. but its all a short shifter is doing, without you realising, every gear change

This may be the case but i enjoy the feel of them and installed one in my first Ralliart (TZABOY's ONN20S) about 5 years ago and that box has never had a problem even with over 50% more power than standard.

Mine used to crunch from first to second on hard changes with the short shifter.

not suprised

if you could see how fast the gear selectors on the gearbox were actually moving when you are slamming gears through WITH a short shifter you wouldnt believe it
