Does anyone have an old torque convertor for a TJ magna or KJ Verada ? Need one desperately.

Got the transmission out of the TJ in between the showers today and found it VERY hard to get the torque convertor out.
When it finally came out the oil seal and copper bush came out with it. The end of the shaft that fits through the bush is scored badly and the bush is stuffed. I think the convertor has had it.

I have another convertor that came with Mohit's old gearbox, but the weights on the convertor ( 2 x 3 dots + 2 x 1 dot) are quite different from mine ( 1 x 3 dots). I suspect the weights are matched to the engine and if I put Mohit's convertor in I am going to get serious vibration problems and damage.

Ask Madmagna, i know he has some 3lt. ones.....if these suit it would give you a slightly higher stall speed as well!

those wieghts are to balance the converter only... wont affect your car.

Thanks guys, a bit more reassuring. I was worried because the manual says to make sure the torque converter is lined up in the same position as when you remove it. Made me think the balancing is relative to the engine crankshaft since the converter acts as the flywheel.

By the way Trotty, that exhaust system is a work of art. I love it !
