Hey guys, I recently had a squiz at some of the cars on OZHonda <No Honda bagging please...>, and it seems that a fair few of the civics there that do track work have front and back strut braces and sway bars, in order to stiffen the whole car up.

I have searched around, finding information and prices on the front strut brace and f & r sway bars, but I can't see anything on Rear Strut Braces (keeps the tops of the shockies from bunching together during wild cornering).

Would a Rear strut brace be worth fabricating, or does the front brace just flip around and sit in on the rears?

Thanks for your time!

Waste of time. Magna rear struts are bolted to the area around the parcel shelf and under the C pillars, doubt you could improve that much, if at all (noticibly).

you can brace up the rear if you're handy at welding. as others have mentioned, there is no handy access to the top of the rear strut towers, so a traditional strut brace is just not feasible.

Cummins has a brace between the rear towers, and he fabbed up an X brace to go between the seat-belt mounts in the rear. this helped with the creaking of the rear windscreen and overall flexing of the rear suspension, but I'm not sure it's worth the time and effort involved.

the strut towers definitely do flex during track work. but unless you're thinking about pulling out the back seat, it's just not worth it.
