My boot wont open with the button on my remote or inside the glovebox, it needs the key to open, ive checked the switch on the latch and its set to the correct way but ive tried pressing the button and seeing what happens with the latch and nothing happens, i can hear the nose come from the bottom left part of my boot but thats it.

hi could be the cable has come out but it is easy to check just unclip the side panel and move the bottom boot lining out of the way on the left hand side that is there is a metal bracket at the bottom there is a screw remove
and the same at the top unbolt the airel nuts from the bracket the unit is attached to this bracket press the button on the remote as you look at the unit and watch what is happening check to make sure the cables are connected
if it still not working check the cable is not broken by pulling on one of the ends if it starts to come out then you have a broken cable
