Hey guys,

I did a quick search, couldn't bring much up.
There's a few threads on replacing the 1st gen 4'' speakers in the dash, however none of them (that I could see) gave the actual specs on the speakers, or the hole. I'm looking at replacing them (it's a daily driver, so I don't need anything special), and the 6'' speakers, as well as the headunit with basic pioneer ones.

I hope I didn't miss anything, and I'm not asking a question again, but would anyone be able to give me the specs?

If it helps, here's what I have.
http://www.pioneer.com.au/en/Products/Car%20Entertainment/Speakers/TS%20G1042R.aspx - 4''
http://www.pioneer.com.au/Products/Car%20Entertainment/Speakers/TS%20G1642R.aspx - 6''
http://www.pioneer.com.au/Products/Car%20Entertainment/CD%20DVD%20Players/DEH%201150MPG.aspx - Headunit

As you can see, basic setup, the details DO state that both sets of speakers have shallow design, I guess I just want to make sure the 4'' (and to a lesser extent, the 6'') speakers will fit.

And then I have to work out how to do it. ;)

Sorry again if I'm reposting a question, but thank you.

What I typed in your other post in the Vic section

I'm not to sure about the 4" speaker in the TM-TP Magna (I used to have a TM GLX and it only had 4 speakers)

I drive a VE SV6 Commodore now and it too has a 4" mid dashboard mounted speaker. I went down the same road which you have researching what is the best speaker to replace this speaker and the best answer to give is don't even bother. I've now actually disconnected the speaker and are now running Alpine splits in the front and coaxles in the rear of the standard head unit and getting great sound.

In conclusion, the 4" speaker is useless, just replace the other larger speakers and disconnect
