After putting in a K&N Filter along with my galant intake
I get a much better induction sound and also a Nice high pitch Whine when accelerating
It is so noticable that at a set of lights I was asked what kind of Charger setup am I using
Has anyone else got this sound (apart from FOOZ) LOL
with these mods

Pod had pretty much the same noise under load.
Mecha do you still have the airbox resonator fitted (and if so, is it intact or modded)? If you have modded the resonator chamber, perhaps you are getting some interesting induction harmonics happening as a result of however you have cut it. [yes it is a long shot, but it is all I've got ]
Personally I didn't notice anything like that with mine. Perhaps a slightly louder induction under heavy load, but even that could be the power of positive thinking.
Did you check that you didn't have a cat jammed in your airbox when you put the induction assembly back together? Is there any "Lost Cat: Reward" flyers stuck up on telegraph poles around your area at present? Exhaust smell like cat? Engine meowing under heavy load? If so it could indicate a classic case of Induction Moggy, and I'd get it checked ASAP.

Couldn't be you would have a fur ball in the K and N. Oops is this off topic
ZeroPlease stay on topic.
Just to save you the effort mate lol. We do digress a fair bit!!

I remember someone driving around with no snorkle at all when the 90mm thread was at its height and said what an induction roar they got. I tried the same and noticed no difference. However I do notice the induction sound under heavy acceleration but it combines with the straight through exhaust note. On the trip back from the Riverland at the weekend jogging along at 110+ there was no exhaust noise only the wind in my hair (LOL)

Same thing happened to me a few months ago, and that was before I fitted the extractors, dual exhaust and hi-flow cat. After a 'spirited' (ahem) take off keeping pace with a hotted up Chrysler 300C, we pulled up at the next lights and he asked me what I had under the bonnet, and did I have some sort of forced induction.
Of course with the subsequent mods it now sounds louder (but not a lot) and a helluva lot meaner, with a nice induction roar (again not too loud) and a tuneful rasp from the extractors. And it goes a bit quicker as well.
KJ.

Mine is similar, but that could be due to the fact I ripped the bottom resonator off lol

You are lucky you still have hair for the wind to blow through old fella lol!! I haven't noticed much of a change at all with induction noise. Interesting.

Me and Mikey380sx did that (he was first). Yes a huge noise difference, but a CEL convinced me to put it back.

Yeah I started to notice how pointless it was not having it on. Sure the sound was good but fuel economy suffered and it ran no better...

Sucking in hot air from the engine bay will do it every time!!

The sound was just so good haha, it was hard to put it back on...but now I have 90mm intake on and its a happy medium between sound and (much) better performance

I cant see how they can complain about something that is better for and will prolong the life of the transmission.
