Hey guys, wanting to upgrade my muffler to get a little more power (maybe even a new exhaust note), and I was wondering if the rear muffler off of a KW GTVi would bolt onto my existing exhaust system?

i have that exact one on my car and it wasn't a straight swap but it only cost me 80$ to have my local exaust place do it, i like the exaust note it makes above 2500rpm, NOTE it will bolt onto a 3.5 as far as i know, mine is a 3L that's why i had to get it fitted and welded>

It wont be a straight bolt on.

Sedans and Wagons have different intake pipes into the rear muffler.

It can still be easily done by an exhaust shop. He will just cut off the intake pipe and weld it onto the new muffler. Shouldnt cost you much at all.

Also the AWD exhaust is different to the FWD afaik.

The muffler is the same. The only differences between FWD and AWD are that:
1. The AWD pipe goes under the diff and then turns towards the muffler, much neater, whereas the FWD one, moves right before the axel, goes up and over the axel and then down again and then to the muffler.
2. The rear bank secondaries are different shaped to bypass drivetrain and firewall differences.

Also the AWD has its mounts in different palces. I bought a FWD sports muffler and cut and weld the pipe to fit but also had to cut off the hangers and move them.
