Recieved it today, here is the figures on the sheet with the unit:

45W RMS x 4, 4 ohm less than 1% THD+N, 14.4V, S/N: 82 dBA (ref: 1 watt into 4 ohm)

I am running Alpine Type S - 6.5 coaxial front, 6x9 rears.

So far, without really giving it a good test run is, nice middle area increase on the standard HU output. The highs seem a little brighter (able to lower the HU treble setting) and because I run a sub, cant comment on the low bass since I run my HPF at 80 Hz. I would say after having it for a couple of hours running, Ill be able to fine tune and give a much or accurate report, but there is a small increase in volume already I can hear

I got it in from America, on EBay ordered on the 23/9/09, delivered to me on the 30/9/09. Cost was $164.00 including freight. Northfield car sound are saying that they will retail at $199, and should be in australia within the next few weeks.

The unit is pretty big and weighty, more than I thought. I am having issues finding a nice spot to secure it, but thats with only 5 minutes of trying to fit it, but compared to a normal amp fitting and running of cables, this thing rocks.

Update:

If you don't want to fork out 600+ for a amp to give your speakers a bit of oomph, then I can recommend this thing for sure. It's taken a few days to get the sound adjustments right compared to stock off the head unit, but the difference is definately noticable.

Considering I can now turn it up to a level that is uncomfortable, where as it used to struggle to get to that without distortion tells me the amplification is working, but what's more noticable is the mid range department. There was a definate hole around the 200Hz department which was not getting filled... It is now

Combined with the sub, and the S type speakers, Ive got a very happy sounding system with enough balls to play whatever I like at a volume which is more than loud enough for those "this song is ****in awsome" moments.

Can't recommend it more, $160 well spent.
