a bubbled tire is worse than a hole, at least some holes can be repaired. a bubbled tire is a throw away job.
just get the hole fixed

Im putting it there just for the RWC. Just wanting to know if a bubble tyre will pass roadworthy?

Doubt it. If you have a spare it must be roadworthy, and I wouldn't have thought that a bubbled tire would be legit. Like lowrider said, I actually would have thought a small hole/chip wouldn't be as bad, assuming it didn't affect the integrity of the tyre.

bubbled tires are not road worthy. How bad is the hole in the tire? Does it hold the pressure for at least a day? If so, i would leave it on.

Otherwise, get it fixed. Holes are quickly fixed and only costs $30 or there abouts

most mechanics, when doing RWC's, arent interested in cr@p like your spare tyre...because.. there liable for how the car was when they saw it... they cant help what happens after the road worthy is done.. if they were liable for the time after the inspection they would loose there licences left right and centre..

imagine i drive in with a stock magna.. mechanic ticks it off as a pass.. next week i put massive zorst, chop my springs stupidly, stick some 20s on, get 10% window tint & a pod filter...

everytime my mechanic saw my ralliart for a rwc he said "this didnt have 20s, it wasn't lowered stupidly and it didnt have a pod filter when i saw it"

same thing with a spare tyre.. whats the point of them checking it when you get ppl swapping things over after the road worthy?.. its a waste of everyones time them checking stuff like this..

brakes, lights and a few other are the things that need checking

If QLD is like VIC, if the spare is an issue just remove it.
In VIC you don't need a spare tyre - but if there is a spare tyre in place, it has to be road worthy.
Is QLD the same?

I'm positive it's the same - not a requirement to have one (even if it came with one stock), but if you do it has to be legal.

Yep

When I did my RWC when I moved up here from SA, they checked my spare, and told me it needed a new tire. hehehe

When I have done them I always check the spare as VicRoads may decide to inspect the car on the spot when the transfer is done and they will check those things

As above, if you have one it MUST be roadworthy and secure however you do not need to have the spare and the RWC person will generally note in the document that it was not in the car when presented
