hey guys. Got a thought.

Below the lights that alot of us have fitted dual filament bulbs to in the KS Rada Garnish is a clear lense that is not used. I believe that it is for effect and flow on from the tail lights.
i have of late just rewired the reverse lights from the tail lights with orange globes and it now works as an extended indicator. Looks good I feel.

I was wanting to know if any of you have thought of or done a reverse light retrofit into the rear garnish converting the clear blanking below the garnish tail light as reverse?

I am going to attempt this over the next week or so. seems to me that there is plenty of room in that gap for a globe and wiring ( in the same holder as the garnish lights) And the botom section is independant of the red section of the KS rada garnish.

Let me know your thoughts and I will update this thread with progress.

Refer to pic in link for what has been done so far.

Copy cat. Anyway, I attempted that as well and from memory, I think there is no cavity behind the lense or at least not enough room but that was 5 years ago.

Come on man, if you call everyone copy cat for all the modifications ever invented, on AMC at least anyway we'd run out of different modifications.

Dual indicator looks awesome!!
I have another idea though, can you use a dual filament globe in the reverse section so that way your reverse lights still work?
Very nice, I like

That a good idea TuffTR. But I have found that the cavity is enough to fit a Bulb. all beit a small one. Definately a T10. I will look further into it tomorrow.
I want to utilise that space if I can as it is only for looks at the moment. Also I think that the reverse would look better in its own space.

Take it easy. I was only joking:cool:. Mal and I were the first ones to do this mod. Mine had all the red lights in dual-filament. So including the high-mount, I had 7 brake lights and 6 tail lights.
See mine here (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthread.php?p=599082&highlight=watt+bulbs#post599082).

hi mate

i tried this about 3 months ago but gave up when i realised that when the bulb would light up it didnt spread properly. i would just be a kind of 'dot'. there's no light spreader in that bit of the setup. try it if you like though, will be something different at least

Yes, there's no reflector and no fresnell lense at the front. One way to get around that is to use the matrix setup of LEDs like the ones you can buy at DS or JayCar or eBay.
