Had the wagon serviced today and had the mechanic quote me on the faults that he found...a total of $1944.00 below is a break-up:
Starter Motor $336.00
Rear Shock Bushes Cracked $42.00
Rear trailing arm bushes torn $274.00
Distributor cap & rotor button worn, spark plugs worn $143.00
LH, Front & Rear engine mounts $603.00
Coolant Flush $99.00
A/C belt missing & water pump belt cracked $81.00
Rocker cover half moon weaping $66.00
Clutch & brake fluid flush $84.00
Font brake hoses cracked $216.00
After reading a couple of posts on this forum it seems alot of you have undertaken these repairs yourself. With my trusty Gregory's in hand I am going to give this a red hot go.
Seeing as though the two most expensive things were the engine mounts and starter motor I though I would look there...I have come across these on Ebay and wanted to know peoples opinion on these...
Starter Motor - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360181078816
Front Engine Mounts - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270254893428
Rear Engine Mounts - http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270387872895
Further to these problems...he mentioned that the air intake hose was cracked and I should try to source one from the wreckers...after some thinking though I wondered if it would be benifical to replace it with a K&N style filter and hose?
Sorry for the biblical post about this!!! any help and suggestions would be awesome

Thats expensive for those engine mounts they cost about $80 for genuine mounts from mitsubishi. He must be charging heaps for labour.
Alot of the stuff u mentioned u could do yourself. Like belts, dizzy cap, coolant flush & while your at it oil change. Make sure u use Penrite HPR 15 and Ryco Oil filter.
Good luck with it all.

Wow some of those do seem quite expensive! I have a starter motor here from my TP you can have for $40 plus postage if you are interested? PM me if you are interested. It's not brand new or anything, but works fine :)
Cheers,
Matt.

i was able to get a brand new starter for my TS for 125bucks from a supplier for genuine parts...
clutch and brakefluid flush???? wtf there's 15bucks in fluid and an hours time... not to mention collant flush..20bucks and a hose into the radiator!!!!will fix that.
Brake hoses may cost you $100 and you can fit em while you do the brake fluid flush. not hard just need the right open ended ring spanner.

you can fit a second hand or exchange starter
Rear Shock Bushes Cracked $42.00 -
get 2 better shocks from a wrecker
LH, Front & Rear engine mounts $603.00
the engine mounts from ebay are ok
or ones from repco /Bursons/ super cheap
the LHS bush mount needs a press to replace it
or you could try a wrecker for one

Coolant Flush $99.00
A/C belt missing & water pump belt cracked $81.00

Rear trailing arm bushes torn $274.00
See below
the rear trailing bushes are a DIY for a wagon
if you have car stands and a good jack
you take off the shocks and other bits so
the springs hang down loose and
the trailing arms can be undone

where abouts in QLD are you ?
the acellerator cable might get in the way
pop off the plug leads mark them so you know how they go back
just undo the two bolts holding the rocker cover on
use sealant RTV blue or black
the Gregory's has the torque specs
do not overtighten the bolts when refitting as rockercovers crack easily
