I am looking at a 2003 GTVI verada, i noticed today that the seat belts have a little "replace me" sticker on the bottom of them, but it's kind of covered. I am guessing these have something to do with the tensioners that pull the seatbelt tight in an accident.

Anyway, does anyone have a photo of theirs that I can compare to?

mine need to be replaced, they are actually defectable, but the likleyness of a police officer actually checking this if i got pulled over is slim.
In SA (and im pretty sure all states) when you pull the seat belt out, then let go, the belt should retract quickly and without getting stuck,
if it does get stuck or dosn't retract, police can and (if they do happen to check your belts) will defect you.
my front one retracts fine, but becasue that red replace me tag is exposed, i have to get them replaced.
as for my back ones, my back right belt sticks alot, so that will def have to be replaced soon..

there's a doubled up section of seat belt that folds away into the plastic sleeve. I believe the stitching gets torn when the pre-tensioners go off. if it's still doubled up, then the seat belt is fine.

you'll know if it needs to be replaced. all of that stitching will be ripped away.
