Hi my tp is ideling around 950-1000-1100 in the manual it says default idel speed is 700-800 , ive checked vacuum hoses and ive cleaned the trottle body , any ideas

is it an auto or manual?
EFI or carby ?
you could back off the throttle cable idle adjustment screw
at the back of the throttle body
might be a faulty stepper motor
ecu problem or sensor if EFI
or a faulty taco
not a good idea to tamper with the base idle screw just yet

The throttle cable is slighty slogged out so that's not the problem

timing is 13 degrees for the 2.6 motor

on most it is under the donnet on the drivers side

chances are the stepper motor is knackered... what ive done with mine, is that there is a small screw that you can adjust on the throttlebody to hold the idle level.. adjust this screw so its JUST touching the plate, this should do the trick
