Yesterday I fitted 4 Kenwood speakers. Got from Supercheap on their sale for total $155 KFC-M6932A (6X9 three way) and KFC-E1662 (6 inch 3 way). First thing I realised is that I could fitted bigger speakers in the doors, but as I am not running an amp this is not an issue. Rears dropped straight in. Amazed at difference in wiring, Magna compared to Kenwood. The leads supplied with the speakers was thin as, made the oem wiring look huge, so did not use the Kenwood leads. Would hate to think what happens if one used the supplied leads with an amp fitted. Second observation was that oem speakers are not that bad and still looked in good nick. The exercise was worthwhile, sound is clearer/crisper, less distortion at high volume. Also the system is louder (more volume). Best of all I seem to get the same enjoyment at lower volume (save my ears). I retained the flag tweeter, after experimenting. Conclusion, not a huge difference, but worthwhile doing.

The kenwood wiring made the OEM wiring look thick? Wait till you see some proper speaker wire then lol The wiring supplied with the speakers must be like fishing wire.

Yeah they skimp out on the speaker wire in most Budget speaker sets...
