There appears to be a few similiarities between it and the 3rd gen and the seats look more comfortable. This is the car I'm referring to:

The chrome door handles and power window switches look the same, do you have access to the car? If you do just measure up all the mounting bolts.

As it happens I have a Grandeur in the back yard. ( it was a spare for Pookys car till we sold it)

I can tell you that the seat is more supportive lateraly than the magnas.

Whether it fits or not I dont know.

I could have a look at it and Pookys 3rd gen to see if the mounts are similar but not for a day or 2 as I am seriously sunburnt atm and im avoidin outside. :eek2:

I found an old drive.com.au review and the journo stated that the body shells are the same.....well perhaps the floor pan is a match and therefore the seat mounting points.

Well I had a look at em and while they are similar in mounts it would not be a straight swap.

The front mounts are the same in layout but are about 1cm wider on the grandeur.

The rear outer is pretty much the same but the inner is different.

The magna mount sits on a raised bit of the floor and the grandeur sits on a pedestal thing. (a longer leg, you can just see it in yur second pic)

I did the comparison with Pooky's TJ and the 2000 grandeur I have in the back yard.

Once my sunburn goes away and my face finishes falling off and I catch up on all the jobs i'm behind in.......
then I might just pull out these seats and have a closer look at either modding the mounts or seeing if the frame mounts are the same.

I think theres merit in the idea so i'll definately look into it further.

Appreciate that Ol'Fart. Shame that there are slight differences in the mounting points. But I have a feeling there might not be many wrecks around going by how many are for sale on the web compared to Magnas.
