Hi,what i would like to know, does this sound like a fair quote? 100,000 service, rear plugs, timeing belt,$560.00 ,that is with the standard kit,but advised better option to put the kit with hydralic ajuster.that compared $138.00 to $470.00, pluss someone recommended in thread i read to replace water pump as good insurance while doing the timeing belt. Water pump genuine mitsu,$250.00 with the latter all added on, come to $1150.00.heart attack country.oh yeah pluss gst.would like some comment please........thankyou

At 100K you can do the water pump but you don't have to if your on a budget.

I would suggest going around to a few mechanics and seeing what they quote you.

For starters the hydrolic tensioner does not need to be changed unless it shows signs of leaking

The water pump does not need to be done at 100k either, provided the new belt is done to factory specs when installed there is no reason that the original pump will not see 200k I have many customers with over 200k on their cars and still the original pump

That sounds like a very good price i paid $1400 about three years ago at midas in essendon.
Your best to get the water pump changed its right there behind the belts. also its only about $100 anyway.
good luck.
