hey guys
i am going to pick up my TH sports on thursday or friday this week. it hasnt been moved for last year (owner says he has started it each month and run it for while and i took it for a quick drive up n down the street and engine runs well)

have checked all oils and water but is there anything else i should do before driving this back home.

should i spray anything on the disks to soften the pads or anything?

I'd be doing a fuel filter change, inspecting the battery and doing brake fluid at the very least. Just take it easy on it until you can give it a good going over.

If the cars got a bit of a mould\mildew smell in the A/C, let me know and I'll give you some stuff for it.

I'd definitely replace all fluids/filters if it has been left that long.

The tyres might also need to be replaced as they can form flat spots from using the same area to support the vehicle for extended periods.

Hey Nemesis. What's this 'stuff' you mention?

If its only a short trip home (cross town etc) check the fluids for levels, oil, trans rad etc and just feel the car out at first when you drive it.

Is it turning and stopping ok, is the temp normal etc.

Stop at the first garage and put in a little fresh fuel and check your tyre pressures.

Give her a good service after you get it home.

Ive driven cars that have sat for longer than that from brissy to bundy quite often with no major probs. (except pissing off Pooky:hmm: )

The rust will skim off pretty quick as you drive and they should shut up by themselves.

Inspect the pads as best you can to make sure theres still some meat on em but they should be fine too.

Check the wheel bearings.

In my old volvo, all seemed fine for a couple of days until one of the bearings blew out while driving.

Car had been driven from Shepperton before purchased and had been sitting for about 18 months.

Dont want the same thing to happen to you, its not fun
