Greetings All.

I know im being a bit of a pain, but i really wanna know if I'm goin in the right direction BEFORE I buy this stuff for my TF 1997 Advance. . .

-K&N Panel Filter (Ok, where can i get this from, how much? Does it make a noticeable difference?)
-King Springs Or Lovells (Ok, I wanna lower it, but not a HELLA lot. I kinda just want a more agressive look without bottoming out every time i reverse down the driveway . . .)
-Monroe GT Gas Shocks (I wanna try and get a sporty feel to the car rather then the floaty feel the stock shocks have, without brusin' my butt. I heard these are well worth the money . . .)

Thanks Alot Guys, Much Apreciated,

try a guy called trevor. doubt you'll find anything useful on the website, but email him and he'll be able to sort you out. from memory... $130 for KN panel, and $120 pair of kings superlows.

Hey Tonba, you're over in East Maitland, right? Yeah, well I'm in Thornton so we're practically neighbours. lol lol

So, anyways, I only paid like $115 for my K&N Panel Filter, but that was through a group buy on this site. I've seen them somewhere on the web for only like $110 (incl. postage) so I'll try and find that site for ya. By the way, the guy at that big new Repco in Greenhills (next to BBC Hardware) was gonna charge me $180 or some ridiculous price for a K&N Panel, so just be careful buying stuff from that place. A guy on here called Screamin' TE lives around the corner from me (and we used to work together) and he used to work at Super Cheap in Maitland, so if you wanna get the low down on any not-so-well-known products from there, give him a PM and he's always said he'll be happy to give an honest opinion. He doesn't work there anymore, so he's not under pressure to sell the stuff.

Where are you looking at getting the springs and shocks from? I'd be interested in hearing your experiences when you're done. I know a guy (who just so happens to live in East Maitland as well) who does some work for Bowers Wheels and Suspension in Lambton, but because he's not permanent there, he can't get me a discount, but he says they're very reasonable as it is, and they do good work. Although, as good a mate as this guy is, he does do work for this place, so he may be a little biased.

Have you put a straight-through muffler on yet? From what I can gather (as I haven't had enough $$$$ to try it for myself yet), a nice hi-flow muffler is the next step after the K&N Panel for increased performance.

Anyways, cheers dude.

Magna flow or lukey make good mufflers for the magna, I have just left my standard one on my TJ sports, dont want to have a over powering exhaust but want the power. Also have a look at KYB shocks over the GT gas, the KYB are $1 - 2 ( yes thats all ) more but I think they are way better. Good to see more P platers with 3rd gen magnas. :D

in my opinion... performance wise get the muffler before the panel filter...or both at the same time. also yeah definately do some research into the KYBs I have and am very interested in getting them.. from what i understand you can get them from RPW for $530 for a full set. Just by being a member of aussiemagna.com you get 10% discount aswell I believe. Don't quote me on that but pretty sure. These are guys that work with perth magna guys all the time. And if you bulk order a few things say with other guys in your city you'll save on postage etc. have a look round the forums for Mitsiman he works for them and can help you out... very knowledgeable bloke.

Hey Tonba.
I have a redback muffler fiitted to my TE 3.0 by Lillford'd at Thornton. That was complete with a tip. Sounds really nice too. It would be good to have another Magna cruse sometime soon, but i will post that in another section. :D
