Hi


First post :) .. great site by the way lots of usefull info here
I registered a while back hopeing to beat the security code drama on my cars stereo
Dealer miles from me was innsisting I had to present in person with rego papers to get the code .
(must be a big market for those stolen bad boy sound systems eh?):tired:

I have a rear bearing noise on my tj wagon 10/2000 model , If I understand right I have to fit a new
hub assembly to it ?.. any special tools or tricks needed to replace ?

Hub Removal steps
1. Rear speed sensor (Refer
2. Caliper assembly
3. Brake disc
4. Dust cap
5. Nut
6. Washer
7. Rear hub assembly *B**A*
8. Rotor (ABS RING) <Vehicles with ABS>
9. Rear hub Caution
The rear hub assembly should not be disassembled.

REMOVAL SERVICE POINTS
*A*CALIPER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL 1. Remove the calliper assembly and suspend it with wire
to an adjacent part to ensure no load is placed on the brake hose.

*B*ROTOR REMOVAL (ABS RING) 1. Clamp special tool (MB991248) around the rotor.
2. Place the rear hub in the press as shown in the illustration and apply force with the press onto the base of the hub to remove the rotor.

INSTALLATION SERVICE POINT
*A*ROTOR INSTALLATION (ABS RING) 1. Place the rear hub in a press as shown in the illustration.
2. Use an appropriate section of pipe with a larger inside diameter than that of the rear hub and drive the rotor onto the hub until it is seated correctly.
