You need to intercept the crank trigger signal & also the MAF sensor. If the Haltech has never been done on a 380 your tuner may have to map the crank trigger & get a map written for your car.
....... the joys of trying something new ...... maybe you should have went Exede or Unichip Q :gfight:
I can provide you with loom wiring colours for each if you need them, let me know.

the reason i went with the haltek is that steve knight only uses these. he wont touch unichip and hasnt done anything with the exede. the haltek also does launch control, meth inj, 7th inj, plus a whole lot of other things.
also does any one no how many triggers per cycle the crank sensor does and how many teeth it has. \
cheers.

Just out of curiosity, when you say launch control, is that reminiscent of the launch control systems used in say the VW Golf GTI, porsche PDK's etc? I guess it would only work on a manual 380?

Going back to Dan's (White's) original question I'm in the same boat, just up the creek with a slightly different paddle.
I have a Chiptorque Xede all ready to install & tune, I have all the Xede wiring diagrams and fitting instructions & software, but what I don't have is the 380 ECU wiring diagram, which theortically tells me which wires to cut and splice the Xede wires into.
Couldn't find an ECU wiring diagram in the full workshop manual, which seems to have wiring diagrams for everything except the ECU. Nothing in these forums, and nothing on the Web.
I'll be dropping in to see Steve Knight one night next week to suss out fitting & tuning, but he reckons he needs a 380 ECU wiring diagram to figure out what wire goes where.
So does anyone have a photo or a pdf of a 380 ECU wiring diagram, or know where I can find one?
Dan - thanks for the offer to wire it up for me, but as you said you are very busy for the next few weeks, and I'd rather get it wired & tuned in one session, so I'll take it to Steve & he will wire it up.
As for mounting, all fixed. This morning I made up a mounting bracket that works like a charm. Got a 90 degree bend 140mm x 100mm x 60mm (i.e. 140mm wide, long side 100mm short side 60mm) x 4mm thick galvanised steel fencing bracket from Bunnings for $4.60 and a pack of four 6mm 'set screws' with washers (same screws that mount the stock ECU bracket, number 4) from SCA for $3.60.
Drilled four holes in the bracket, two to mount the Xede to and two to mount the bracket to the car via the unused auto ECU mounting holes (lucky I have a manual!).
Bolted the Xede to the bracket using some bolts & nuts I had lying around that happened to be the perfect type & size, then bolted the whole thing to the car using two of the SCA set screws.
Solid as a rock and almost looks like it came that way from the factory.

if you have the exede wirring diagram the same as what witewalz supplied me (cant seem to find it though) it shows exactly what pinout/wire to cut.
otherwise ill drop off a ecu pinout to steve asap.

If you look harder in the manual it is there, thats where I got it from to give to my tuner originally when he installed my Unichip Q.

All sorted.
Witewalzs emailed me the diagram, and then I found out that the minidisc supplied with the chip has the same diagram anyway, but stoopid me thought it was a generic diagram and didn't read the fine print which specified that it was for the 380 ECU.
