the new zealand model of the V6 is in the first gen body design called a V3000
(you can google it)

link type in V3000 in the search

you can put a TR motor into a first gen
no one has posted a sucessfull modification to a V6 in this forum

way i look at it is mesure it up, id say 95% it would fit, main issue i can see might be custom cvs to suit the hubs

Hmm it'd be very tough to do... I mean of course it's possible with the right amount of money... but not really viable. Best way to spice up a first gen is a 4g63 (I think?) out of a vr4. And getting hold of a NZ model would be near impossible I'd say..

you can put a TR motor into a first gen
following this logic
TUFFTR put a 3.5L into his TR
therefore it will fit
but who knows haha

bolt a starion turbo up to it. those things fly when they run right
I believe the issue with V6's in first gens was the mounts and CV's, if you were to fab up some new mounts and get some CV's made you should be sweet.

see dissy set up
the motor uses a flat intake manifold to fit under the bonnet
the wheels still have four studs
larger radiator
you could import one or
fly to NZ grab what you need from a wrecker there

obviously someone who didnt quite know what they were up to lol,
if u are serious, strip out an engine bay, see what sort of room you have, and try to get the dimentions of the 3000s engine bay, width wont be the issue yet the firewall might be set back or something.
if there the same, or the magna is bigger then your in luck. IT WILL FIT, if not work out where the diffrences are, and if you can change anything on your car to suit
also try to find the distance from the chassis rail on the gearbox side of the car to the center (front to rear) xmember then compair to the magnas one.
if this is the same then its good as you have 3 of the mounts as something easy to do, if its not however, try to work out the best way to try to shit it across to suit, and it will probley be easyer than moving mounts across on the motor itself.
then with that sorted you will need to extend the mount for the other side of the car that shouldnt be to difficult.
plenty of people can make custom cv shafts, although the mount on the motor for the cv might need to be customised if you want to retain a 2 peice shaft.

well i have friends in NZ and are quite close to pullapart wreckers. all sounds good. id prob look at paying someone to do the work i think. how many people would put there hand up to do this? like a performance place?
hey dude, that motor will go straight in! i done an auto to man conv,on mine i found that the engine sat forward 3 or 4 inches for the man,so i had to change all the mounts,so i think if u got a 3.5l with man,it will be tight but can be done,or if its auto, then still use the man mounts,it will help alot, other than that it will be c.vs and stuff to sort
