First question, relates to the brand Speedy. Has anyone got a problem with them? A mate of mine's brother has them on his falcon and has buckled all four. I'm usually pretty gentle with my car over bumps but Townsville is a bit prone to potholes in the wet season (picture a whole month where it doesn't stop raining except for an hour or two here and there).
My girlfriend has speedy's on her car with slim profile tyres and hasn't had a problem with them yet. I guess it comes down to the driver as usual?
Rims I was looking at are Speedy Cheetah in black.

The bonus with these are that they are the correct offset for the car, whereas the other wheels I was looking at, BBOSS Sienna, are not, and will reportedly rub on my wheel arch flares (they sure as **** did in my mate's VRX) lol

dont know much about speedy, but im yet to hear of a person who's been happy with the b-boss. When i was looking for wheels last month, i really wanted maddisons. Every tyre shop i went to told me that the finish bboss use on their wheels peels badly. Check up every set of b-boss through the amc FS section, they all have peeling issues.
Perhaps it is something to do with the design of the spokes that makes them more prone to buckling?

I have had 19inch Speedy Graphites on mine with 40 series tyres for over a year now with no problems at all. I recently came across some road works which had a big drop in the road surface and although it sent a massive shudder thru the car, the rims came out unscathed. . Every other car I've owned has had different brand alloy wheels and one of them has always buckled.

Have a mate who destroyed a of 19" Speedy Cheetah just like those pictured. Went through a huge pothole (i mean almost deep enough for his side skirt to touch the ground) and the rim buckled inwards like 3inches or so. That was the front right, the rear right did the same thing just not as bad. This was however one of the biggest potholes i have seen! He bought 2 more and have been perfect from then on :)

I call those kind of potholes bathtubs or swimming pools... We get a few popping up whenever we get rain, I'm pretty good at avoiding them lol

Another question for the VRX/Ralliart/GE owners out there who have BBOSS wheels on their cars, any problems with rubbing on the 18 inch wheels? My mate's VRX rubbed like crazy on the 19's...

BBOSS rims = rubbish offsets, when i was looking at buying them they only come in 1 maybe 2 offsets for each size, so you will struggle to make them fit without some creativity ;)

Yeah I want to excessively lower my car so correct offset is a must.

Speedy Cheetahs are hot-as, I would have bought a set if I found one for the right price. I've got Speedy Graphites in my car in 18" and haven't had a problem, although I've only had them a few months now. They survived a trip down the Bruce Highway though :P I think a lot of it is luck - my dad's buckled two 18" Advantis on his Commodore (despite having 245/45 tyres).

Just trim them :P
