Was putting my amps back in my car today after making a nice little box for them, hooked everything up, but none of the speakers want to work anymore. The sub works fine (the rca comes from the response amps output), but the response amp isnt putting any sound out to my speakers! :( (The pioneer that is powering the sub still works though)

The response amp is still powering on (Has the red little light), but yet no sound from the speakers. I have checked all the fuses and controls on the back of the amp, as well as the fuses in the engine bay and under drivers side dash, and everything is fine....

So looks to me like the amp has commited suicide. I got the amp on the 27/12/08 from jaycar and still have the reciept, but I dont know how long the warranty lasts for (If it has one) ?????? Anybody know?


Edit: Just found out that the little light on the amp will be green if everything is ok. It is red. ????

Maybe reckeck your ground cable for that amp
If the other amp is working it won't be a car fuse, maybe the one on the power cable tho but only if you have two seperate power cables coming from the battery
May also be a faulty amp, have you got another one you could replace with it to see if its the amp or not?

Ahhhh All fixed! Turns out you were right, my ground wasnt properly secure (Well, I still couldnt undo the bolt with my fingers), but I tightened it up with a ratchet thing and now its working perfectly! Thanks man,

Still, would be nice to know If the jay car amps have a 12month warranty...

They will be at least 12 months.
