When you hear a good set of splits or some good set of speakers then you'll realise that the factory ones aren't anywhere near as good as you once thought they were (I was in the same boat as you before I got my system!)

I have Jaycar stuff in my car and it's fantastic...they're an avenue to look at when you don't want to spend much money...but want good bang for your buck.

The stock setup is fine for regular use but if your after quality and really sharp sound then its worth getting a set of splits

You don't need the best and most $$$, just something nice to run of your deck if you don't have amps.

my car came stock with splits.. Apparently they are clarion? not to sure.

Ive never had splits in my car before this.

They rock!

I have splits in the front and 2x 10inch pioneer subs in the back.. The 6x9's have been unplugged..

For clarity I wouldn't run anything off a deck....for clarity on a BUDGET then yes fair enough...

BUDGET being the keyword - i doubt your 160 clarions are as clear as the 600 dollar Boston Rally Edition Splits - but hey - it all comes down to what you can afford at the time.

Buut i agree - once you here After Market speakers the stockies just don't seem to cut it!!

Actually i think you might be suprised.

Some cheaper speakers do have better quality/clarity then higher priced 'labelled' speakers.

Boston ones of course are in a different league though!
