Hey all,

Ive found this set of wheels that I like but I'm not sure if fitting them will cause problems for my magna. I have a TL AWD and these wheels I want to buy run a +32 offset/8.5 at the front but a +28 offset/9.5 at the rear. Apart from making them fit, should i expect any other issues from running a staggered setup like this?

as long as the overall diamater of all 4 rims and tyres are the same this shouldnt affect the awd system but good luck fitting 9.5'' rims on the rear without majour mods to guards and clearnce to the strut spring base.

i have tryed 8'' rims with 255-40-17 and only just cleard the spring base!!

I was sure that I at the very least would need the rear guards rolled...but strut spring base?!?! :eek2: That sounds a bit worrying. Would altering the clearance be easy or should I just keep looking for another set of rims?

arrange a test fit first, that offset might not clear

+32 8.5 will sit at least 5mm out from the guards at the front and +28 9.5 won't clear the rear upper control arms, unless you've got some seriously stretched tyres at the rear. Centre diffs typically don't like staggered fitments if the rolling diameter is significantly different so keep that in mind.

And Mr Plod doesn't like different wheels front & rear for AWD or 4x4 vehicles, at least in NSW anyway.

Agree. 8.5 front will stick out past guards and 9.5 rears won't fit.
