Hey guys,
ive got a bit a of problem thats just presented itself. driving home from work yesterday i noticed a bit of lifter tap/ticking, which does arise every so often so it didnt bother me.
but when i got home it sounded alot louder and numerous than usual, so i let it idle out for a bit as usual which quietens it down as oil gets back in there.
5 minutes later i went back out to check on it and it had gotten worse and louder...
i turned it off straight away and did the basic checks and everything showed up normal. plenty of oil, no warning lights etc.
the oil is fresh as of about 500km as is the filter (5w60)
i let it sit overnight and turned it over again this morning and the same again..
only before starting it up i noticed that the oil caught in one of my breather filters was not just oil pic attached)...
if im right (which i hope im not) it looks like a head gasket is gone? however it doesnt have any other symptoms that would show this as yet
any help and advice would be epic! thanx in advance!
tim
