Sorry Seby, but just to clarrify your post so other people can make sence of it (no offence)
his car is a TJ Exec, with 4speed auto Tippy
lately, it has been giving him problems,
one afternoon when driving the car, he had the trans in Drive, the indicator was lit for Drive, but the Neautal light was also flashing!
sometimes, the trans shifts smoothly without issue, but it is developing a bit of a slip when changing from 2nd into 3rd gears when in drive / tippy
when i / we say slip, it starts the change, revs go up a bit can feel the trans moving a bit, then it finally picks up the next gear and the car is on its way again.
As far as i know, its not slipping / lurching when changing down gears.
the other weekend caught up with Seby, checked the colour of the transmission fluid, and its most def NOT pink and nice like it should be - but on inspection of my trans fluid condition, mine is quite similar in colour.... (my trans doesnt slip through any gears though - its nice and smooth on every change)
The colour of his fluid isnt black, more of a orangey brown perhaps. it def wasnt red though.
his car doesnt slip all the time, every gear - it only does it occasionally.
I have suggested a transmission fluid flush (which we will tackle next weekend once the required Mitsu trans fluid has been purchased)
hope this makes it easier for everyone else to be able to help - again, sorry Seby i dont mean to be rude!

If you see the N flashing on the dash cluster, it's flashing you a code
Start with a full tranny flush and see if that changes anything
The box may also be overheating

Thanks doddski! I'm glad you did this and thanks again!
REPLAY FOR Mr_Roberto: I think is overheating, cos when i drive for a short time i feel like is hot then normal, but i will do a transmission fluid flush

sounds likes a flush is need to be done and you might need to add a tranny cooler to cool her down. l ran the factory one plus a after market one now nice and cool after replacing my box after 104000 kms when she died form overheating becareful.

:bump: i've done the flush 2day, change one of the sensors, and still problems! so is comming up like ECU fault codes: code 41 (1st gear not syncronized) and code 42 (2nd gear not syncronized). clear ECU fault codes and replace the speed pulse generator. i DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!! I'll apreciate any help! Thx! And is not overheating.

Did you get it flushed as suggested above? The transmission in my Verada developed a slight flare in the 2->3 shift, flushing it made it perfect again.

See if you can download the Workshop manual from Tech Torque Forum - and check up what teh Auto Trans Chapter has to say for those Fault Codes - theer are flowcharts and trouble-shooting guides which should lead you through the possible causes of the faults.
Try to download and keep the PDF files of the Workshop manual - I think the hosting of these soft-copies may be ceasing soon (?) - seem to recall reading something about that.

Just so all know what has happened to his transmission:
Driving to work, going around a corner, with it still in Drive - the car started to free rev, like it was in neatral.
The vehicle currently has no drive at all - Drive or Reverse, all it does is rev like its in neatral.

IS this an occassion of needing to reset the computer by removing a battery lead. With the flush would the car be thinking that it has had a huge fluid loss.
i only ask this cause i blew a reverse globe on the rada and it went into a limp home mode and didn't engage gears very well at all. no indicator of gear selection on dash. it had blown reverse fuse. change fuse fixed problem.
is the fluid level correct after fill? my older cars do the same if level is low.
i thought that MMAL fixed the auto problems from TE/TF.
hope i haven't wasted space.
