I'm trying to get a power steering rack from one the above models to install into my KJ2 AWD. I've got a FWD power steering rack from a TL but the mounting holes don't match.

Someone in another WTB thread said the wrecker and eBay seller Lancercity (Caloundra Qld) had a KL AWD he was wrecking.

Already asked him mate. The power steering rack on it is no good mate. It is bend due to the front impact.

Well overdue but saw a TL AWD in the Mitsubishi Wrecker on the Gold Coast on Brisbane Rd- just near Harbour Town either feb or March this year- was pretty well complete at the time- probably all gone by now.

what would be a fair price for a std Fwd TL rack. My sons TH has leaking seals plus a couple of other issues so I was thinking of upgrading it to a TL

Depends on wreckers i suppose. I got my FWD TL rack for about $70ish iirc. Some wreckers were trying to charge me $200! :facejump:

You may be able to get one for $45 from the Sydney wrecker georgemitsibits who also lists on eBay under that user name. He listed one recently and has lots of stuff that isn't listed and posts as well. Lancercity also lists them on eBay and is a Caloundra Qld wrecker (Dave) that some say is an AMC member who keeps tabs on going rates in our FS section and prices accordingly, he is generally very well priced compared to a lot of wreckers.

That's from a FWD TW. I did ask him about it. He then mentioned he has one from a AWD in stock. So I replied asking him how much it was and to let me know the part number on the rack itself.

U know what i got in the reply? $200 for the rack and $40 for courier. I don't mind the courier bit, as it is quite heavy and bulky but $200 for the rack?? Plus he offered only 6months warranty versus what is on ebay! To add further insult, he can't tell me what's the part number on it.

I would be pretty silly to buy it from him without the part number. I don't want to get another FWD rack!

Anyone knows where i can find an AWD power steering rack from a TL/TW/KL/KW? Imlach tried to charge me $330 for one! What the?!?

Ah... TJs!!!! I have a KJ2... wanted to upgrade the steering rack to that of the TLs and above for the better steering feel. Thanks anyway Timmy!

I think I just spotted another AWD from the Qld wrecker on ebay. Have you checked that one out?

Hey just letting you know I was at lancercity's place today and he told me he is getting another tl verada in next week, not sure if its the AWD or not but you should ring him next week and find out...might be the answer to your prayers :happy:
