View Full Version : Rear Shockers - 2002 Verada Ei
Hi,
The rear suspension seems to be getting a bit soft on my 2002 Ei Verada. I would like to improve the firmness of the ride just a little without going too far. Does anyone in Adelaide have some suggestions as to the best people to talk to about this?
Thanks,
Msys
If you would like some slightly firmer springs, either standard magna or sports/vrx/ralliart springs could be an option. The verada springs had softer rates for ride comfort from factory.

Talk to Shawn at Phillcom Rally (http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/member.php?u=5101), He will be able to get you the best prices for shocks and springs. He's also one of our sponsors :)

If you dont want to change the height then you dont need to touch the springs.
Change your shocks. Can highly recommend Monroe GT GAS. Have them in my AWD and love em. Ride smooth but are firm when needed over bumps or when fully loaded.

You can use std height King Springs, they are 20% heavier spring rate over OEM, shocks only help the rebound of the spring not the firmness..

shocks only help the rebound of the spring not the firmness.. ????
Which in turn affects how firm it rides! Will feel firmer. If you go to stiff in the spring, you won't then get the same rate of travel making the ability to absorb big bumps harder in turn giving you a harsher ride. Where as just changing shocks to a better shock will give you the same rate of travel while making the ride feel firmer by rebounding better/quicker to the road.
There is no need to chage springs to a heavier rate unless you intend on carrying/towing constantly heavy loads.
