Just started to get an issue with my car (96 TE) when unlocking from the Passenger side of the vehicle, The Drivers door button/switch for locking wont totally flip over and kinda gets stuck, and is stubborn, so all the doors are locked except the drivers, this is when doing it from the passenger side, this also happens when locking up pretty much the same thing, but the drivers door stays unlocked and partially turned to the unlock side.

Everything works fine from the drivers side, but its starting to get annoying when i have to take stuff out of the car from the passenger side and try to lock and then realist i gotta walk over to the drivers side....


Any suggestions or anyone had this problem before, and if so, how did you resolve it?

Havent had this specific issue but i've fixed similar problems on an n14 pulsar. It's most likely a busted spring or some bit of plastic is broken. Just gotta take off the door trim and get a look up close to see what's happening.

Maybe take the trim off and see if its catching on anything

lazy solenoid or seizing mechanism
hit it with a bit of CRC (from the inside of the door) and see if that helps

yeah i have the same problem in my 99 tf hoping some one will come up with an answer
