Hay guys

Does any one know the max/min level you can turn a fuel reg to on a 96 3.0 TE :?

Cheers

well, if you COULD change the pressure, would then mean better accelleration, it would get rid of flat spots in accellerating.

its all good.. but im not sure if you could change the pressure on the stock TE fuel regulator :?:?

if you can do it, i wanna know

Hmm...think for a second:

If you COULD adjust it...

Why would RPW sell adjustable FPRs? They would just adjust your stock one.

I think a stock Magna runs 38 psi... but Dave told me a safe range will be not going over 45psi... with the adjustable one of course...

I will need to push to 48psi to complement my Stage 2 cams until I get the A/F ratio worked on.. which I am planning to do so right after the cams go in....

Yeah sorry about that :(

Its a Malpassi after market fuel reg :D

Price $169.99

P.S any one know where the stock fuel reg is located :?

The FPR is located on the Right hand side of the engine right below the Cylinder on the right, it's a gold coloured cylinder that has fuel lines running into :D

If you are mounting the FPR in another spot, you will need an adaptor too

Fooya Racing Technology;
My Stage 2 Cams are a direct swap from my Stage one so no cost,
But I have to pay for the Springs and Cam gears upgrade...

Best to talk to RPW :d

People talk about putting FRP on cars to increase the fuel pressure. All this does is make the car run richer and on a std Magna at least the thing allready runs too rich I fail to see how $500 spend on increasing fuel pressure does anything other than increase you fuel bill. As for the flat spots you are better of getting the $500 that you saved on the FPR and putting to toward an E-Manage or Unichip. That is my opinion on the matter anyway if someone has a dyno printout of a before and after with just and increase in Fuel pressure that shows gains I will be more than happy to change my story.

Oh yeah I forgot to add to my previous post..

The FPR will be detuned to a lower psi when the car's A/F ratio is tuned up... not running 48psi forever :p

I was refering to the price that is listed on the RPW website and the manner in which they instruct you to use it. As for lowering the base fuel pressure you have to be very careful that the engine doesn't lean out at lower RPM where the AF is not too bad. The only time that I would be using a FPR will be in a forced induction role to allow the injectors to have more head room before they reached full duty cycle. That would be a rising rate FPR also not a normal adjustable one. I know that some of you think that I am shit stirring but I have had a fair bit of experience in this sort of thing and I just don't want to see people spending big money on things that just don't work.

ca18escort,

What was your TT Supra like, i've allways loved these cars...

The TT Supra was very nice it was the top spec GZ so it had the leather interior and stuff like that. I have photos of these cars at home so I willscan them and post them up for you. As for why a magna? Well have you looked at insurance and parts for a Supra? What about trying to fit shopping and golfclubs in the back or even taking some mates for a road trip down the coast for the weekend. It was a lifestyle choice. I have just bought a house and my prioroties have changed. Value for money ( My magna cost me $15,000) it is hard to beat the Magna for looks and general drivability. The only complaint that I have is that it is hard to get a driving position after owning a soarer that has adjustable everything. Just so that you know too some chick ran up the arse of the magna on Saturday also. It goes into the shop tomorrow and I don't know how long it is going to get it back. "Not happy Jan"

My reason for changing back to a magna has nothing to do with $$$... It's pure driven by the fact that I had a TH Sports when I first saw it when I landed in Australia... I sold it and got myself a few faster cars but the pure "Magna" car thing drew me back to buying the TJ Sports off the dealer and then I made it my point to mod a car that many think are shit cars just to prove to them that a Magna is not something they can look down on irregardless of model, size, year....

It's time we stamp the "Magna" Badge to the World and show them we too can make it go fast and look nice.......
