Hi All,
Thought I would start a thread to see what you have towed in the 380?
On the weekend I towed a car trailer (750kg empty) fully loaded with a large fridge and cupboards (Moving house atm) etc. I was quite impressed with how well the 380 towed a fairly heavy trailer load of gear (Around 1 tonne). The low down torque really helps. It did struggle with a couple of big hills, but that is expected though.
Cheers

1300 kg camper trailer and a full boot of gear with 4 adults. All over QLD
Small car trailer with sprites on board. Here there and everywhere) Melbourne next November
Never had a problem. Just need to flick the ato over when going up slight hills as it can kick back a gear or two and start to scream.
3rd Gen just use to shut down

Make sure if you are going to do any real towing for any amount of time that you get an auto transmission cooler fitted as from the factory the cooling is useless and heat is the enemy of the auto. It will cook you seals and harden them= one stuffed auto=$$$$. Go and spend around $300 to save yourself thousands. Oh yeah I tow an off road camper trailer. It is 7x5 I think and fairly well laden. It handles it well. Don't try and push it too hard when you are towing. It is a whole change of mindset. I manage 10.5L/100km generally when towing it. This was before the 90 mm intake too. It all comes down to not trying to push it to get up to 110 or 100 all the time and settling for 90kmh (ouch I hear you say) which is a more efficient speed and using your down hill runs for momentum etc. I always keep and eye out in the mirrors too and if and when possible let all and sundry past. I know that I appreciate that when people do that for me.
