Hey Guys,

I got the cash in my hand now to go out and pay for a boot installation and to stop all the rattling in the back of my parcel shelf!

However i'm finding it hard to hand over $700+ dollars to get this done. I really wanted a new TV. :doubt:

I was getting the parcel shelf thing done for around $250..and this boot done for around $500.

The boot is just going to have my sub on the left hand side of the boot in like a fibre glass enclosure, with just the woofer speaker popping out.. very plain and simple looking. And the parcel shelf just decked out with sound deadner.

Can anyone give me drawings/tips/ways-to-go-about doing this myself. The other day i tried to do the parcel shelf, however i could not for the life of me get the middle bolt @ the back of the rear seats un-done! And well the boot...I havent even tried as i wouldnt know where to start. Im going for a boot install like ... ASYLUM 'S one in the white Magna. I dont know whether thats fibreglass or not.. But i love it! and thats what i want. But just one sub.

Anyone?

Hi....

the fiberglass thing is always going to be expensive. Especially if you don't know what you are doing.

Their is that box that is going around already made for the back corner of the boot. I think it is $250ish???

Get some WD40 or a decent wrench. You will get that bolt off. Load up your parcel shelf with some Dynamat with foam. When you get your sub, opening the ski port helps reduce rattles as well. :D

i got my sub... kicker competition, goes allright.. but i got an LPG system in the boot, thats why i want more space (reason for wanting to utilize the space where ASYLUM has for his sub).

Those boxes were made by Bigs, pretty sure he doesn't do them anymore.

250 was an awesome price if they were good quality! pretty sure the enclosure part of my install was priced around 400. i think 5 out of the 6 sides of mine is still MDF, just the rear is fibreglassed. the front is dual thickness, so the sub is recessed flush
