Hi guys,

I bought a head off ebay last week and there is abit of surface rust on the timing chain sprocket, cam and around where the valves are. heres a picture

is it serious enough to worry about or should i just swap the good bits off the original head?

Cheers

thats just surface rust

the rockers just need to be taken off the shafts carefully

and given a good clean with stuff and wet and dry paper
then clear the oil galleries

(as you take them off dont mix up the order of the rockers)

got word from the machiners today that it would need to be serviced which will cost me around $450 so im just going to use my original and try and get my money back on the head.
